Surprise move: Samsung bought WebOS from HP!

WebOS mobile operating system, HP bought Palm with the purchase and has had the most bizarre “route” of many OS’s we know seems to be saved in the end and not disappear in the fog as it foreshadowed. LG has announced the acquisition of WebOS from Hewlett Packard Division and has big plans for the operating system.

WebOS was a few years ago one of the operating systems that promised very much was stable, adaptable and, above all, a magnet for developers. Giving HP Palm implicitly “throw” WebOS in the open source world, resulted in the operating system entering a dormant area.

LG acquires that WebOS is excellent news for those who were able to see how it works and what software development prospects is based on a community of passionate developers.

Surprise, LG will not use WebOS for smatphone sites or tablets. Koreans multimedia plans for the operating system and plans to integrate it into the next generation of SmartTV’s and other devices related.

About WebOS takeover rumor by LG. However, we now have official details of the transaction, that the “package” division owned until recently by HP starts to LG. The transaction includes the WebOS source code, documentation and websites WebOS. More importantly, the deal includes patents Palm, which will now go to LG.

Financial details of the transaction were not released.
